He has overcome tremendous obstacles in the past and has today made a name for himself in the local arena of business entrepreneurs.  He is holding position as Chairman / Director in various companies.  Among which are ; Chairman of Chua Song Seng Group of Companies, Executive Director of Marketing in WSS Sdn Bhd and Executive Member of Malaysia Crime Prevention Foundation (MCPF).

Dato’ Chua Lai Huat is also the Chairman of Cigarette and Tobacco Distributors Association of Malaysia, President of Selangor and Kuala Lumpur Teo Chew Sundry Goods Merchant’s Guild and Vice President of Sundry Goods Merchants Association of Malaysia.
